My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker committed to engaging children, youth and families in effective and meaningful psychotherapy. Using a highly relational and strengths-based approach, I treat a range of mental health needs including anxiety and phobias, OCD, selective mutism, depression, trauma, relational issues, and challenges related to learning or developmental disabilities. My approach is empathetic, genuine, creative, and rooted in collaborative relationships.
I’m especially passionate about working with neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ youth and families. I bring a social justice lens to therapy—recognizing how family dynamics, culture, race and ethnic identity, and larger systems can shape a person’s mental health and sense of self.
I have specialized training in infant and early childhood mental health and bring a fun, humorous, and play-based approach to my work with both children and adolescents. In addition to private practice, I also work in schools supporting students with IEPs and have extensive knowledge of navigating school systems.
Outside of work, I love to travel, hike and run, go to dance class, and explore the Bay Area with my dog and family.
I am out-of-network, which means that I don't bill insurance directly, but will provide you with a superbill for insurance reimbursement. I also offer sliding scale rates on a limited basis - please let me know if that is something you or your family needs.
